THE DESERT'S GATES

 Explore the mysterious attraction of the desert's gates as you uncover the ageless beauty and mysteries concealed beneath the eternal sands.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH

MARRAKECH

 Arrival at the Menara airport t. Warm welcome by your guide. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 2: MARRAKECH / OUARZAZATE / TINEGHIR

OUARZAZATE

 After breakfast, Depart for Ouarzazate through the High Atlas, via the Tizin’Tichka pass (2260). The road passes through various typical villages of the high atlas with dominating pisé houses, visit the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the famous kasbah which was the subject of many international shootings and is now an international heritage of the Unesco.

 Arrival at Ouarzazate. In the afternoon, continue through the road of the kasbahs, first through the Dades Valley, then from oasis to oasis until Tineghir.

 Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 3: TINEGHIR / ERFOUD

TINEGHIR

 Breakfast Then incursion into the todra gorges until the tarred road, through an impressive height.

 In the afternoon, visit Tinghir's palm groves. Depart for Erfoud, through a magnificent panoramic view, on the way you will see little mounds of earth (soil) marking the road. They are ancient wells of irrigation Then you will pass the Ziz Valley surrounded by extensive palm groves.

 Arrival at Erfoud one of the largest oases well-known for its dates. Possibility of an excursion to the dunes of Merzouga (supplement).

DAY 4: ERFOUD / TAZZARINE / ZAGORA

ZAGORA

 After Breakfast, depart for Rissani. Visit the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Then continuation to Tazzarine. Stop for lunch. From Tansikht, the road lounge the Draa Valley, an uninterrupted oasis of 200 Km. You will perceive several ksour and fortified villages.

 Arrival at Zagora, a large villa known as "the desert’s gate", is an ideal staging post for those intending to travel farther in the south.

 Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 5: ZAGORA / DUNES OF TINFOU / OUARZAZATE

 

OUARZAZATE

 Breakfast, excursion to Tinfou, the first heralding dunes of the desert, then a visit to Tamegroute, an old aged religious center with its library possessing precious manuscripts of illuminated Koran and ancient works of history and medicine. In the afternoon, depart for Ouarzazate first through the Draa Valley.

 After Agdz, the tiny administrative center is situated at the foot of the rock face of Djebel Kissane. The road passes through the col of Tizin’Tinififft (1 160m).

 Arrival to Ouarzazate in the evening. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 6: OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH

OUARZAZATE

 Breakfast, depart for Marrakech through The High Atlas. The road offers a magnificent panoramic view.

 Arrival for Lunch. Free time in the afternoon In the evening, depart for a farewell dinner in an ancient palace in the medina with belly dance and Moroccan folklore.

 Night at the hotel.

DAY 7: MARRAKESH

MARRAKECH

 After breakfast, visit the capital of the south, which once gave its name to the country. The Koutoubia mosque is a strikingly beautiful example of the combination of apparent simplicity and superb craftsmanship of the Hispano-Moresque art. The Saâdien Tombs, an outstandingly beautiful feature of architecture of the 16th Century. The Bahia Palace, with its luxurious apartments, opens into an inner courtyard. The Menara Gardens were planted with olive trees and disposing of a great system of irrigation.

 In the afternoon, continue your way with a panoramic tour of the ocher-red ramparts built in the 12th century. Then on to the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square, the traditional meeting place of astonishing characters, storytellers, acrobats, and snake charmers a spectacle that defies belief. From there reach the souks with their various quarters of craftsmanship in the central area of the Medina.

DAY 8: MARRAKESH

MARRAKECH

 After breakfast, and according to flight hours, free time then transfer to the airport. Assistance for the registration formalities.
